reyonthehill: Bush, Cheney and Taxes
Bush, Cheney and Taxes
An illustration of the inept president and vice president when it comes down to average Americans and taxes.

First, Bush in Canton, Ohio:
"He [Senator John Kerry] said he's only going to raise the tax on the so-called rich. But you know how the rich is: They've got accountants. That means you pay. That means your small business pays. It means the farmers and ranchers pay."

A quick explanation from a White House spokesperson, Claire Buchan:
"The president is noting that the so-called wealthy have the resources to hire accountants to find ways to reduce their tax bills."

And then Cheney in Missouri:
"I know I couldn't possibly fill out my own income tax form. I need help. And unfortunately, that's true for all too many of us."

I wonder which "us" Cheney is referring to.
