It has taken a moderate Republican from Connecticut, Rep. Chris Shays, to finally demand House Majority Leader Tom Delay, aka "the Hammer," to resign.
"Tom's conduct is hurting the Republican Party, is hurting this Republican majority and it is hurting any Republican who is up for re-election."

Not that long ago, in the midst of the Terri Schiavo legal battle, I posted the following comment at Daily Kos.
What's Worse?

A very moderate republican or a conservative democrat? You can't rely on the republican but you can't support the conservative.

I am not a big fan of Lieberman. I don't think he brought anything to the ticket (winning ticket, that is; ironic) in 2000, and was a complete dud in 2004. Not because of his campiagn-style, but because of his politics.

See original Daily Kos item here.
I am not yet prepared to fully endorse a moderate Republican, no matter how moderate or neo-liberal he may be. But I do not agree with Lieberman on any issue. And Shays v. Lieberman will be a senate race to watch in 2006.
