And why does Nease need an asterisk (493*)? What does this list provide that there are asterisks? Is it not a high school? Is it actually a community college? Or does it have an illegally-funded football team?
Yes, my former high school made the grade, according to Newsweek's new high school rankings. It was 496; not too bad. I mean, it is not as if the list includes private schools and charter schools (it does). No, I'm not upset. Yes, 496 does seem a little low. I mean, how does one measure a high school's ranking anyway? Especially a public school that doesn't require admissions qualification or tuition. No, truly, I am not upset about this. But, come on, I graduated from there; I took AP calculus.
