Pro-choice republican senator Susan Collins of Maine (Susan- you chose the wrong party...) met with Bush's latest appointee to the Supreme Court, Judge Samuel Alito, and afterwards Collins said to the press, "[Alito] assured me that he has tremendous respect for precedent and that his approach is to not overturn cases due to a disagreement with how they were originally decided." (Source: ABC News)
Does this mean Alito will vote to overturn Roe v. Wade because it was "incorrectly" decided, and not because of the disagreement over how it was originally decided? Yes. Prediction: Roe v. Wade will be overturned by 2012.
