Well, it is a new year; and with the new year, a fresh start. That's right, I shaved the beard... Although I do believe this "New Year" holiday stuff is a bit much (why don't we get the first day of September off? and why no mail delivery?), it is fitting to start anew. (By the way, Samhain is the pagan new year, October 31.)
