Chasing Bonds
How can I inject myself into any little story...

The decision by MLB to not authenticate the baseballs used during the San Francisco Giants games means that if Barry Bonds hits career homerun numbers 713, 714 and 715 to pass Babe Ruth, and if I were there to catch the ball, there would be no easy way for me to sell it for big bucks. Why? Because everyone will claim they caught the ball.

I will be in attendance at next Tuesday's game in San Francisco against the Chicago Cubs. My friends and I will be sitting in the outfield bleachers, and yes, even a young child will not get in my way of catching Bonds' record homerun ball. And yes, it would be for sale. (To the bank, in exchange for my mortgage...)
