In the fifth inning, Bonds went deep. But not deep enough as Cubs centerfielder Juan Pierre caught the ball just above the outfield wall. I was in the outfield bleachers, and from my point-of-view, I thought the ball would have hit near the top of the wall, and bounce back in-play. No home run, either way. Bonds had five at-bats in the game but remains at 713. A shame...
