- Arnold Schwarzenegger, Governor (eh, it is still hard to write) of California, may support democrat Dianne Feinstein in her bid for reelection to the U.S. Senate. This means Arnold plans on running for the Senate after his time as governor is done (since he is trying to garner some political good will with a very powerful pol).

- A fence along the U.S.-Mexico border? Well, at least make it an architectual wonder.

- And Scalia's barely-minority opinion on the federal government's right to regulate wetlands "would have stripped away federal protection from most wetlands that are miles inland and nearly all of those in the West, since many stream beds there are dry most of the year. The Supreme Court upheld federal protections, first outlined in the Clean Water Act (1972), in a infinitely-narrow 4-1-4 decision.
