Ranking The Sopranos
While the Sopranos is on a mid-season (?) hiatus, I feel I should lend my expertise on the award-winning, critically-acclaimed television show by ranking the first six seasons. Alas, I am no expert, and the show is too darn good, in my humble opinion, to rank in order from 1 to 6. Instead, I will place the six seasons in three categories...

The best of the best.
Season 2 - Big Pussy returns from hiding and it is revealed that he has been a longtime rat to the Feds (goodbye Bug Pussy); Christopher is almost fatally shot; and the best character of alltime, Richie Aprile, says hello and goodbye in this season.

Season 5 - Feech La Manna causes problems in the neighborhood; Tony Blundetto leaves too soon; and Adriana's run-in with the Feds finally catches up with her.

The best show on televison. Period.
Season 1 - The season that started it all; the final three episodes cap off a terrific storyline (the first time Tony is shot); and my second favorite character of alltime, Mikey Palmice, is shown the door.

Season 3 - The more I watch this season, the less I like it, but that is because of the genius of seasons 1, 2 and 5; Richie Aprile, Jr.; Ralphie Cifaretto; and "Pine Barrens."

Still better than anything else.
Season 6 - Apparently this is only half-way (thank goodness); Tony gets shot (again) by Uncle Junior (again); Christopher's drug problems continue; the Vito Spitafore storyline lingers forever; and this is all after, quite possibly, the best three-episode start of a season.

Season 4 - Ralphie bids farewell; Furio becomes a problem; Janice rises; and "Whitecaps" ended the season with a whimper.
