I've been trying to think of a theme for this edition, as we have had several interesting themes these past few months, including the video edition (which has gone missing), the haiku edition, the religion edition, the awards show edition, the Independence Day edition and, most recently, the birthday edition. Well, what I have come to realize as a result is that I am not as creative. So I guess this edition will be special because there will be no rules. Except for the following rules...
(1) If you are a liberal and you know it, clap your hands.
(2) Alright, rule number 1 is stupid; please ignore it.
(3) I am an atheist. Atheists are correct; there is no debate.
(4) I have never understood how the 'T' snuck into the LGB community. I support equal rights for all, and it seems liberals have "won the intellectual debate" on the matter; getting it done is up to someone else.
(5) On second thought, the spirit behind rule number one is a beautiful thing. I prefer unvarnished and unadulterated opinions, close readings of news items that pass us by too quickly, and reasoned ideas for public policy.
(6) Don't use humor as a crutch. Use humor as a wheelchair.
(7) Images are cool.
(8) Video is not as cool. (This is because I am at work, and what the fuck am I supposed to do?)
(9) Be mean. And mean it.
(0) The COTL guidelines are null and void. Send me your "best of."
