In the News... 2008.
- GOP presidential hopeful (haha) Sam Brownback sent out a memo criticizing forerunner (and Mormon) candidate Mitt Romney... "The LDS Jesus is not the same Jesus of the Christian faith." (I wonder what my subcontractor would say. Actually, I don't.)

- Bill Richardson is selling an Iraq war policy that would leave zero troops in Iraq.

- If New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg is not running for president in 2008, he is paving the way for a run against an incumbent democrat (my prediction) in 2012. Bloomberg is a democrat-turned-republican, a type of republican that could get support from both sides of the electorate. Similarly, California Governor Schwarzenegger is currently dressed as a republican, but is governing as a democrat, a populist approach in California. Bloomberg's New York City is even more of a democratic stronghold, and if a republican can win New York and California, the keys to the Oval Office are all but guaranteed.

- And Google Gears, which allows for offline use of online web applications, may lead to the death of Microsoft Office, or so they say.

It's the only way that Brownback can get any attention at all in the GOP, by attacking someone's religion (as--ahem--unorthodox as it may be) instead of putting forth his ideas for our many problems. By this time next year, virtually everyone will be asking "Sam who?"
