Would I ever vote for John McCain? No, not in any case, would I vote for a republican for president. However, that is the exact sentiment that many Obamaniacs across the U.S. claim to have. They say they may actually vote for the opposite party's candidate come election day if Hillary Clinton is the democratic nominee. I do not understand this rationale.

Okay, you are a fan of Barack Obama, his youthfulness and his message. Alright, he ends up not being the nominee, and now you vote for the candidate that represents anti-choice, pro-war, pro-gun and anti-environment policies, policies that directly conflict with the message of Obama. How does that add up?

One of the core issues of the democratic party is the belief that women have the right to make a choice. McCain is campaigning on overturning Roe v. Wade.

Most Obama fans are looking for the fastest way our of Iraq. McCain is suggesting that we should leave residual forces in the Middle East for hundreds of years.

Obama has promised to curb the upper-class tax cuts that Bush signed into law. McCain is looking to make those tax cuts permanent.

Unsurprisingly, Hillary Clinton aligns with almost all of Obama's policies, with a slight tweak, here and there. But some Obama followers may not vote for the politically-similar Clinton because... why?
