You've got to hand it to Merck. Not only was the drug Vioxx rushed to market, lacking adequate trials and research, in a pure effort to pile-on profits (amid questionable marketing tactics), the research studies that were written on the deadly drug were ghostwritten. Now that is how you streamline operations and trim costs. And it is only borderline unethical.
