The Worst Doctor In America

Amidst the heavily-publicized Terri Schiavo legal battle, House Majority Leader (and religious right do-anything) Bill Frist made arguments against the doctors who had analyzed and assessed Ms. Schiavo’s condition on the floor of the U.S. Senate.

Frist disputed Schiavo’s doctors’ diagnosis of persistent vegetative state. “I question it based on a review of the video footage which I spent an hour or so looking at last night in my office,” he said in a lengthy speech in which he quoted medical texts and standards. “She certainly seems to respond to visual stimuli.“

Unfortunately for Mr. Frist, an autopy was performed, (and did the right ever want it, believing that an autopsy would prove that her husband abused Terri; Sean Faggity went on about this very subject for weeks), and we now know that Mr. First is the worst doctor in America.

[Pinellas-Pasco Medical Examiner Jon Thogmartin] said [Terri Schiavo] was blind, because the “vision centers of her brain were dead.”
