Conservatives Raving Mad Over Unqualified Miers

It has been a joyous week for us liberals, watching the conservatives fight amongst themselves, over one of their own. And as Bush has said, in the time-honored tradition of blatant hypocrisy, “Part of Harriet Miers’ life is her religion.” (It was religion that was “off the table” when discussing John Roberts’ nomination, but now Miers’ only selling point to the religious right, a.ka. Bush’s base, is her religion, and the Bush team is making no bones about pushing the fact that she is an evangelical.)
