Google, The New Microsoft

You have it exactly right in your report, Jake: “In the long run, Google seems to be planning no less than world domination — at least in computers.“
I think Google is becoming the next Microsoft, and that will be good for no one (except maybe Microsoft, who may have a new excuse, “Hey, Google is doing it…“).
Google was supposed to be the anti-Yahoo! – no frills, no spills; no email (Gmail), no maps (Google Maps), just the best search engine out there; read: no portal, no community (Google freaks). Now you can get all of that through Google (and more!), just without the convenience of having them all packaged together. Google is going after Apple and Microsoft in their latest venture as part of their plan to become the only solution on the web. And pretty soon, Google lawyers will have to read up on the Sherman Act.
