Bloggers-Turned-Journalists-Turned-Plagiarizers

The future of bloggers-turned-journalists will not be bright if bloggers-turned-journalists forget that journalists must adhere to journalistic guidelines and ethics. Take, for example, the story of the right-wing blogger, Eric Pfeiffer, who now works for the esteemed Washington Times, and has previously spent a very dull week blogging at the once-popular Wonkette. Pfeiffer has been caught in a bit of plagiarism, or what we bloggers may call, except me, of course (and I mean that, I go to great lengths to source everything I write), blogging. And worse off, the author who was plagiarized is the one who caught him. Ouch. (But he’s a right-winger, so who cares, really, and better yet, it was the Washington Times.)
