My Plan For Rebuilding WTC: Plant A Tree

Not long after the horrific events of nine-eleven, I presented my idea regarding how they should rebuild the site. I am happy to admit that I did not know anyone who had died on the day, or anyone who has died overseas in the wars that followed, or know anyone over there currently fighting. However, I am also happy to have my opinion.
I, unlike the masses, and very unlike the final approved plan that is underway, wanted to see a tribute installed, not a skyscraper thousands of feet high. My idea was for the city to plant a tree for every person who lost their life in the attack. Actually, plant ten trees for each person. Create a forest of forty thousand trees; right in the middle of Manhattan. It would be beautiful, a permanent monument to those who had perished, and an appropriate resting place for all of those who were never found.
I do realize that the market value for this piece of land is extraordinary, but is that really so important?
