I guess what to expect when a city (San Francisco) celebrates an event that nearly caused total annihilation – the great earthquake and fire of 1906. But this bad news? “[City officials and entrepreneurs] were fearful that East Coast investors would not put money in the rebuilding of San Francisco if they thought it would fall down some years later.

Someone needs to adapt the story of the 1906 event into a screenplay. (Alright; I’ll do it…)

Facts: Death count in 1906 was worse than nine-eleven and worse than Katrina. However, the event was not on the scale (or even close) of the tsunami disaster.
