Deep Throat, Unabomber, and now, JonBenet

One morning, you wake up and the headline is “Deep Throat Revealed.” What? It’s over? And I was going to write a book on the subject.
And now, “Man Confesses in JonBenet Ramsey Case.” What happened?
This was my generation’s JFK assassination and Watergate. We know OJ commited those two murders (case closed), but this one was so eerie. MSNBC made a living on running JonBenet murder mystery shows every Christmas. What now for poor MSNBC?
I don’t mean to be cold or harsh — justice for the criminals in this (and any) case is a beautiful thing — but we have already found the Unabomber and the Olympics bomber. I mean, what else is there? (I hope it doesn’t sound like I am asking for more of these horrific mysteries, but it seems as if they have all been solved.)
Endnote: If the Ramsey’s were perfectly innocent, what the press (and resulting public opinion) did to them was a travesty of justice.
