Stumbling Home Drunk

Last night, Scarborough Country attempted to recreate Mel Gibson’s reported drunkenness to determine if one loses control of his or her words when a person is that drunk. In my opinion, I feel the conclusion was not necessarily valid (which was that a person does not lose control with a blood-alcohol content of 0.12).

There will be a far different result if a person had come down to a BAC 0.12 (say, from 0.18 earlier in the evening) then a person rising to a 0.12 (from 0.0). Gibson, in fact, may have been drunk for several hours, so unless the person binges for a few hours, and then comes down to BAC 0.12, I feel the comparison lacks authenticity. I guess what I am saying is that I am up for the job.
