- Reports suggest that “Americans will spend an average of nearly 4 1/2 hours daily in front of the television in 2006.” I’m going to try and cut that in half for myself. It’s just so unfortunate because there are so many good things to watch.
- In an assault on the morals of the nation and in a blow to the Bush administration, New Jersey is “borrowing $270 million to build the state’s first stem-cell research centers.“
- Bush on Cheney’s lesbian daughter: “Mary Cheney is going to make a fine mom.” But who is going to make a fine dad?

I don’t have cable or a satellite dish, so it makes it easier for me not to watch television when I’m restricted–entirely by choice–only to broadcast channels. After all, there are only a limited number of “CSI” permutations and “Law and Order” variations from the networks which anyone can tolerate in a week. And bravo to New Jersey! They’re at the forefront of many issues, and their old image, if any of it was at all correct, rightfully deserves to be buried.
