- Bill Richardson, current governor of New Mexico , has joined the growing field of 2008 democratic candidates. The question is, will the highly-experienced and well-spoken Hispanic candidate be able to outshine a star-studded field?
- Beginning tomorrow, “United States citizens, including children, returning to this country by air from any country in the Western Hemisphere will have to present a passport.” Which makes sense, if you think about it.
- And “President Bush faces the nation this week more unpopular than any president on the eve of a State of the Union address since Richard Nixon in 1974.” Umh. Nixon resigned.

The answer to your question is, unfortunately, “No.” Nowhere more than in politics, or “show business for ugly people” as it’s often called, can style or star power triumph over substance. If you don’t believe me, just ask our current President.
And speaking of our current president, maybe history will repeat itself and he’ll follow Nixon’s example. One can only hope….
