Bracket, Day Five

The four teams I was rooting for all lost last night, although three games were decided by a total of 5 points, obliterating my second-chance bracket. With respect to my original bracket, I lost my fifth Elite Eight team (only Ohio State has secured its place so far, with Georgetown and Florida playing tonight) and third Final Four team with Pitt’s loss to UCLA. On another point, both the San Antonio and San Jose regions have 1-2 pairings in the Elite Eight, another possible reason to always pick higher-seed teams.

UPDATE: I just checked my standings in the ESPN Tournament Challenge, a pathetic 6.8%. (I’m dropping quicker than Bush’s approval ratings, which is really saying something.)
