- “President Bush sent a powerful message of support Tuesday for embattled Attorney General Alberto Gonzales,” which can only mean the AG will be resigning by Friday.

- The Iraq spending bill in the House contains some pork; not a lot, just enough to possibly end the war.

- Henry Waxman’s Government Reform Committee (man, is that guy busy) is investigating the silencing of government scientists over climate change.

- And Syracuse advances in front of a record crowd, albeit in the NIT.

    It will be interesting to see if the Iraq funding bill will pass the House, since many Congresspersons are torn between their desire to end (or not to end) funding for the war and their predilections (or not) for pork. Does anyone know of a good recipe for barbecue sauce?
