Jake Tapper asked readers to discuss any liberal or conservative bias in his reporting…
Jake-
With regard to you having either a liberal or conservative bias, I will admit it is quite frustrating trying to figure it out. I once read this book, Down & Dirty, and I had thought it was going to be strictly anti-Bush, being marketed as a product from a writer of Salon.com, I had assumed it would be (especially since Bush stole the election from my long-time friend Al Gore, Jr.), but it turned out to be so even-keeled, so filled with facts and unbiased analysis, I lit the book on fire. And I’m not really old friends with Al Gore, I made that up. But I had you going, didn’t I?

I’m sure Jake has biases, but I’m equally sure that he doesn’t let them show in his reporting. I, too, read “Down and Dirty,” and I agree completely with you that the reporting therein was as unbiased as I could have hoped for. I’m always amused when someone comments on something Jake reported, accusing him of liberal or conservative bias, when I detect none of that. I think people see what they want to see in his reports.
As an aside, you didn’t have me fooled for one minute about your being old friends with Mr. Gore. Ever since you’ve been taking those hunting trips with a certain high-ranking government official (initials D.C.), everyone knows who YOUR old friends are.
