Sighting: Love Monkey

I’m not big into Hollywood, and being in the bay area, seeing celebrities is not an everyday thing (phew!). Some big stars may live here (Sean Penn, etc.,) but they do not work here, except for the occasional movie, of course. Although, if you consider Pixar animators celebrities, then I must admit I live next door to a celebrity or two.
My wife and I were in the Levi’s flagship store in San Francisco yesterday, and I guess Tom Cavanagh was also in the mood to shop for jeans. If either my wife (who was quite star-struck, really) or I knew the actor’s real name, and not just recognized him as “Love Monkey,” maybe we would have asked for a photo. That being said, the encounter was rare, yet pleasant.
Tonight on the Insider, the love monkey goes shopping for jeans in San Francisco…

You could’ve also called him “Ed,” as his character was named in his prior TV series.

Actually, the conversation went like this…
Wife: “Jeff, hurry up, there’s ‘Ed.’”
Me: [I look up, confused.] “Oh, you mean ‘Love Monkey.’”
