The New Deal

Alright, I have been stymied once again by the man. As of last Thursday, I am no longer able to blog as I normally would (first hour or so in the morning, again around lunch, maybe once more later in the day, and tidying up along the way, as necessary). And on Friday, Monday, Tuesday, and a good part of Wednesday, I was out in the field for my work, or in other words, working on my tan, so that was no help either.
This leaves me a few options…
- Email my posts. Absolutely no possibility for links, images, or even differing text styles (italics, bolds, blockquotes), and worse, no chance for editing my mistakes after I publish.
- Blog before work. I get up at 5:40 already.
- Blog after work. Two words, Red Bull i vodka.
- Blog on weekends. Um, maybe if I get paid to do this. (Does Jake Tapper need a partner? Or Ana Marie Cox?)
- Transform the site into a feature-oriented blog. Possible, but that is long-term thinking, and I’m looking for a quick fix. (But that is on the horizon.)
I am settling in on options one and three, posting error-laden drafts during the day, fixing them up in the evening, followed by some late-evening posts, much like the old Playboy After Dark television show. I am not sure what to do (yet) with links and images, so this will be a work in progress, but I fully intend to keep going.
And one more thing, I will be introducing (or reintroducing) podcasts to the blog, but I am not so sure if that is a good thing. Only one way to find out.
