- Jake Tapper reports that “a majority of Republicans voted for [an Iraq war spending] bill offered by Sen. John Warner, R-Va., that months ago would have been considered heresy.” Has Rove’s idea for a permanent war-time president finally reached its end?
- Rudy Giuliani has “reported a whopping $16.1 million in earned income over the past 16 months, most of it in speaking fees,” which makes me rethink my no appearance fee policy.
- The House democrats are not as open with the minority party as they said they would be.
- And “the Justice Department can’t properly protect the nation from terrorism or oversee President Bush’s no-warrant eavesdropping program with Gonzales at the helm,” says top republican Senator Arlen Specter.
