In the News… Commander Guy.

- Has Attorney General Alberto Gonzales decided on political death-by-suicide? “Gonzales said Wednesday that having more guns on college campuses is not the way to prevent campus violence like the massacre at Virginia Tech.” And this is supposed to help him garner support from his GOP allies, how?
- Another year goes by without making the Time 100, although I was person of the year. (Man, what a cheap joke. Even for me.)
- It may be tempting for GOP 2008 White House contenders to question Bush in tonight’s debate, but “76 percent of Republicans said they approved of Mr. Bush’s job performance” in a recent poll.
- Classic Bush (from yesterday)… “The question is, ‘Who ought to make that decision, the Congress or the commanders?’ As you know, my position is clear – I’m the commander guy.“
- And Bill Moyers’ incredible Buying the War documentary can be seen online.

And of those 76% of Republicans who do approve of the President’s performance, what percentage of them are out of touch with reality? I’d guess, oh, about 100% of them.
