The reason Ari Emanuel is an idiot is because he is speaking in support of a person in which he has business ties (a lot of).
Have an opinion on the subject? Recuse yourself.
This is the biggest flaw in the modern age of news media. People with conflicts of interest get much press and attention, limiting time of potential honest debate on issues. It is all PR. It is all contrived speaking points.

You’re right, of course. No matter how polished Mr. Emanuel’s witness of Mr. Albrecht’s character is, it is automatically suspect by the very fact that the former has so much to gain from brown-nosing the latter. I wouldn’t go so far to say that Mr. Emanuel should absolutely recuse himself, though, since I think he could offer an opinion IF ASKED. But, since nobody asked…!
