- Following Bush’s proposed sanctions against Sudan for the continued genocide in Darfur, the Sudanese have threatened to take away the world’s Coca-Cola, or at least a main ingredient.

- Secretary of State Rice playing down potential for war with Iran: “The president of the United States has made very clear what our policy is. That policy is supported by all the members of his Cabinet and by the vice president of the United States.Umh, that last part doesn’t sound good.

- And it just goes to show you, you cannot trust architects.

    The Sudanese have launched the first volley in what will be the new way of fighting wars in the 21st Century: withholding food additives of marginal utility to score political points. I can see this dialogue now: “If you withhold your gum acacia for our soft drinks, we’ll send you poisoned wheat gluten to put in your bread.” “Lord, what fools these mortals be.”
