In the News… the Non-Sensical Version.

- “Russian astronauts and engineers may have corrected a problem yesterday that caused computers aboard the International Space Station to crash and raised the possibility that the station might have to be evacuated.” I’m just saying, if I was in space, with an internet connection available, I’d be blogging. I’m just saying. (I’m dedicated, I tell you.)

- California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger “suggested that the ability of many California Latinos to lead their daily lives — shopping, watching television, reading newspapers, speaking with friends — almost entirely in Spanish was making it harder for them to learn English.” When I retire in the south of France, and I speak English exclusively, I’ll raise a major stink when the French government decries my lack of ability to learn French.

- If you’re missing out on Jake Tapper’s caricatures, you either support the terrorists, or are a communist. Either way, you’re a major asshole.

- And the Vice President’s office is officially the new War Department, as highlighted by the current struggle with Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice (who, at the last time I checked, is a fellow neoconservative). “Vice President Dick Cheney’s office, according to some people familiar with the discussions, [is] pressing for greater consideration of military strikes against Iranian nuclear facilities.
