4.2

A 4.2-magnitude earthquake woke us up this morning at 4:42am, as our house shook back and forth for ten or so seconds. Being naive, I thought to myself, “This is the big one.” It wasn’t. (I wish it was.)
The light-to-moderate earthquake, which occurred along the Hayward fault roughly 15 miles from our house, was the most violent earthquake we have felt in some time. Our puppy woke up, and stayed awake for ten minutes or so, but then went back to sleep when she realized that she was not getting a treat. I am not aware of any damage.
