That, plus the Matrushka-doll construction of the novel, didn't compel me to read beyond about half of the book. I kept reading, hoping against hope, that things would get better. They didn't.<br/><br/>You should read something more spirited and lighthearted, like "Atlas Shrugged." Then, you'll know what misery really is.
