Liberal Men In Boston And Philadelphia

I agree with Bill Maher’s assertion that “America was invented by liberal men in Boston and Philadelphia,” however, his argument goes flat when three out of the four people he references are from Virginia.

I’ve always been up-and-down on Maher as a political commentary. He often comes off as an asshole to me. Even though I’d like to agree with him, the way he argues his points makes me not like him, or at least not care to listen to his point. Am I alone on this?

Maher is undoubtedly intelligent — a Cornell grad — but he should re-read some U.S. history before making statements about it. I’ll again suggest Alan Dershowitz’s investigative study of the men who wrote the Constitution. (Spoiler: They were deists.)
