- The president feels free to compare the Iraq war quagmire with the Vietnam war quagmire since he hasn’t sacrificed in either.
- Google will finally introduce ads to YouTube, which only makes financial sense, really.
- A CIA report says that former director and Presidential Medal of Honor recipient George Tenet “held accountable for their failure to put in place a strategy to dismantle Al Qaeda in the years before Sept. 11, 2001.“
- And the democrats have turned to hearings and investigations of White House activities (rather than legislation) “because a potent GOP minority in the Senate has kept them from passing legislation on issues such as immigration and an Iraq withdrawal plan.“

So now Bush’s plan to cement his legacy finally comes to the forefront: compare Iraq with Vietnam and blame all of the 9/11 failures on George Tenet. Two comments: 1) Look how well Vietnam turned out, Mr. President, and 2) Can you say “scapegoat?”
