In the News… There Goes Fredo.

- Yass, yass, Attorney General Alberto Gonzales has resigned. Let’s move on, people, nothing to see here.
- The democrats may have some power to wield in Gonzales’ replacement. Let’s just hope it’s someone who understands the Constitution. (A lesson brought up in the MSNBC article, however not articulated, was that the last time a Cabinet nominee was rejected was in 1989: John Tower was not confirmed to become the Secretary of Defense, paving the way for Dick Cheney.)
- The Army will give you $20,000 if you leave for Iraq today. Sounds like a reality game-show crossover in the making. Wednesdays on Fox.
- And a new poll concludes that “young Americans have become so profoundly alienated from Republican ideals on issues including the war in Iraq, global warming, same-sex marriage and illegal immigration that their defections suggest a political setback that could haunt Republicans ‘for many generations to come.’” Say it be true.

Finally, a MAJOR embarrassment to the legal profession and to practitioners of law everywhere has resigned, and none too soon! Gonzales’ resignation letter has been posted on news sites like ABC News.com, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a resignation letter which sucks up so much to the boss. I thin the first thing Gonzales should do is to wipe the brown stain off his nose.
Has Gonzales no shame? No, of course he doesn’t, or he would have resigned months ago.
