- An NFL franchise in Toronto would mean the end of the Buffalo Bills.

- The word on Fred Thompson before he jumped into the race was that he’s lazy. Well, it’s been confirmed. “[Thompson's] own aides and advisers acknowledge privately that there are days when he seems disinterested in running for president at all.“

- Bush should listen to his generals. “Retired Army Lt. Gen. Ricardo Sanchez, the top commander in Iraq shortly after the fall of Baghdad, said this week he supports Democratic legislation that calls for most troops to come home within a year.“

- And the best reason to not build a wall between the U.S. border with Mexico… the environment. “[The wall's construction] will disrupt the habitat of jaguars, pygmy owls and other sensitive fauna in the wildlife refuge, and encourage illegal immigrants to use more remote, ecologically delicate terrain.“
