Kind Obama

Jake Tapper blogged yesterday that Barack Obama, one of the two final candidates for the democratic nomination, is for the decriminalization of marijuana, and I commented

This is great news. This means that he actually thinks about issues, and does not plan to govern by status quo, a static approach to government that doesn’t help anybody. I think he just earned my vote in the upcoming primary.

I heard a nasty rumor that thousands of californians had sent in absentee ballots in favor of clinton weeks ago, now those people want to change their minds as they have seen the light of change in Obama. Unfortunately it is now too late and she will most definately win the state. Any truth in this?

This is the second of two reasons why I do not prefer absentee ballots. The first is the opportunity for fraud.
