Obama Sweeps (Nomination)

Readers of this blog know that only very recently — as of the day of the California primary — did I decide to vote for Barack Obama. That was one week ago.

This evening Obama has won handily in the Chesapeake/Potomac primary, and although I respec Senator Hillary Clinton, would vote for her in November, and would more or less support her as president.

However, the time is nearing for Clinton to step aside and let this natural succession of Obama to the nominee take its place.

I understand that may all be cleared-up on March 4th, when Texas and Ohio vote, but it is becoming more evident that this can be mathematically tied all the way to the convention. That would be bad for the democrats, and I hope that Clinton has the self-respect to concede before that happens.

Of course, that is if Obama continues to build on the momentum he is creating. If Clinton comes back strong in the next month, the opposite may be true.
