Big State Index

Who is winning the big states? Clinton. But let’s look at the numbers in what I will call the “big state index.” I will assume that “big” states are those that have more than 75 delegates. (And I will disregard Michigan and Florida.)

Barack Obama
Georgia — 87
Illinois — 153
Washington — 78
Virginia — 83
===
Total — 4 states — 401 delegates

Hillary Clinton
California — 370
Massachusetts — 93
New Jersey — 107
New York — 232
Ohio — 141
Texas — 193
===
Total — 6 states — 1136 delegates

This is a big advantage for the Clinton campaign. Pennsylvania is in seven weeks.
