Bracket

I have UCLA over Kansas in the final (85-79) for this year’s tournament. Mark it down, this will happen.

I have registered my bracket again this year in the ESPN.com tournament challenge so I will be able to see how I fare against all other willing challengers, and I will report my successes, or more likely, my failings.

Some notes and observations on my bracket–

- I have all eight Big East teams making it to the Sweet Sixteen, but none go further.

- For the Elite Eight, I have all four 1-seeds, two 2-seeds, and two 3-seeds. Like I said, I am playing it safe.

- And some big upsets in the first weekend –
(11) Saint Joseph’s over (6) Oklahoma, Philadelphia love;
(12) Villanova over (5) Clemson, Big East and Philly love;
(10) Davidson over (7) Gonzaga, time for ‘dogs to bid farewell early;
(10) Saint Mary’s over (7) Miami, some bay area love;
(12) Villanova over (4) Vanderbilt, and into the Sweet 16;
(6) Marquette over (3) Stanford, and into the Sweet 16; and
(7) West Virginia over (2) Duke, and into the Sweet 16.
