Canada NAFTA Redux

How many times has someone alleged that the press “misquoted” them, or similar, but in fact, they simply had wished they had not said it, or at least wished they said it differently? A lot.

And that is exactly what the Obama campaign is saying about one of its finance advisers telling Canadian officials to nevermind the anti-NAFTA talk, that it is just for political gain in the Midwest.

I don’t buy it. Obama — and Clinton — are clearly free-traders, right or wrong, and the notion that either will curb NAFTA to a degree necessary to ensure manufacturing jobs stay in the U.S. is absurd.
