After last night, it is a virtual tie. But what if the democratic nomination were more like the electoral college, a winner-take-all system, similar to the GOP? And what if there were no superdelegates?

The following would be the standing pledged delegate count in the case it were winner-take-all, using the New York Times’ results map, and disregarding the Michigan and Florida results…

Barack Obama

Hillary Clinton

Nevada — 25
Arizona — 56
Arkansas — 35
California — 370
Massachusetts — 93

Clearly, proportionate delegation is giving the Obama campaign their current lead.
