Obama’s Young Voters

If Barack Obama ends up being the democratic nominee, er, when Obama is confirmed as the nominee, I hope his campaign is certain to close the loose ends, such as their reliance on young, college-aged voters. Part of that will be educating the voters, because more than likely, some of these young voters are assuming they can vote after logging-in to Facebook, or vote by proxy thereof.

The youth vote failed to deliver for Al Gore in 2000, and even more drastically, they failed to vote for John Kerry in 2004, and were in part responsible for the disastrous second Bush term that followed. I hope that Obama (or Clinton, yada, yada, yada) learns from recent history, and diversifies his core support in the run-up to November.
