Thoughts on Phoenix

- The weather is certainly plenty hot, but it is a dry heat. And a breeze keeps it nice. At least in May.

- The local news covers the weather in-and-around the Grand Canyon.

- It is a hotel peeve of mine when the television defaults to channel 1 or 2 every time you turn it on, which, in this case, is an informational channel about the hotel. This hotel actually has several of those channels. Does anyone ever watch these?

- And what is the deal with USA Today at my doorstep every morning. They should ask if I would like one when I check-in. I would rather have a Readers Digest.

i agree about the newspaper at the door. I never read it and i feel like they could have saved it for someone who wants it. Actually, I realized while on a cruise ship, in which they gave you a mini-newspaper every morning with breakfast ( the newspaper was printed on regular 8×11 white paper, both sides), that I actually like reading the news in the morning, its quite pleasant. I just don’t like the feel of newspaper and the black ink that gets on your fingers. There’s nothing like spreading a little cream cheese on your morning bagel along with some black ink.
