The Homes of the Homeless

Something that everyone knew but didn't want to admit -- especially organizations that aim to help those "in need" -- the majority of homeless people (on the streets begging for money; you know, "beggars") are not homeless.

Long-time readers probably know that I am not a fan of the homeless (especially when they have dogs). I do my best not to look the homeless in their eyes, or respond to their persistent pleas for cash as I walk by. When I do offer a response -- the typical "sorry" -- I feel bad about it afterward. I feel sick to myself. Why did I lower myself and say something to that bum?
