Biden Kills In Debate; Palin Still Standing

It is somewhat humorous — but ultimately an indictment on our culture and media — that Joe Biden won the debate handily (on every single issue, mind you), but the GOP and the McCain camp are excited — and the press is surprised — simply because Sarah Palin did not fall flat on her face.

Palin did what she could, but that is no more than reassure the base. She made no outreach to the middle class, no outreach to independent voters, and no outreach to women.
