Schwarzenegger: Palin Will Be ‘Ready’ Come January

This Arnold Schwarzenegger quote on Palin’s ‘readiness’ to be president is the same argument that Hillary Clinton used to say that Barack Obama was now ready to lead (after he secured the nomination, despite Clinton’s persistent campaigning for months on-end arguing the exact opposite): “By the time that [Sarah Palin] is sworn in I think she will be ready.” Point is, you must be ready now, not maybe in a couple more months after I cram for the exam. You can not just turn it on or off, like re-setting a PS2 game in the second quarter because you are down 14 points, unexpectedly.
Clinton was wrong (Obama is ready); Schwarzenegger is wrong (Palin is not).

agreed………..and you could tell in arnold’s voice and appearance that he cleary knew she is not and would not be ready. For an actor, he’s pretty transparent when he’s lying.

This is the essential argument against McCain’s judgment: that he willfully and confidently chose as his running mate an ignorant, shallow, opportunistic faux populist who is clearly and unmistakably unprepared to assume the presidency if required. For someone like McCain who has continually questioned the judgment of his opponent, his selection of “Caribou Barbie” says a lot about his own poor judgment.
